F-Marbles / Purple Porphyry
Purple Valcamonica Porphyry originated from a volcanic eruption in a valley in Lombardy. This cooled magma was processed by nature for millennia creating a rock with a unique color and uniformity that is very popular because of its expressiveness and durability. The surface of the processed sheets is particularly uniform and the rock and its physical-mechanical features remain unaltered over the years. Its low imbibition coefficient makes it weather resistant, especially to ice, and as such it is suited for use in outdoor floorings and furnishings. The Purple Porphyry used by Minotti is fine-grain brushed.
