Oxfordshire, Riverside House

Oxfordshire, UK, Oxfordshire, Riverside House

Along the banks of the River Thames, nestled in the greenery of Oxfordshire, this private residence skilfully blends indoor and open-air spaces, creating a series of settings illuminated by natural light and energised by the timeless design of Minotti’s furnishing pieces.

Spanning a surface area of 600 square metres on a single level, in an aesthetic quest for essentiality, the villa alternates elegant interiors with a contemporary living feel, where the sculptural volume of the Emperador Grey marble fireplace, around which the living and dining areas are arranged, immediately catches the eye.

The living room welcomes the Freeman seating system by Rodolfo Dordoni, upholstered in light-coloured fabric, contrasting with the chromatic accents of the Fil Noir armchairs by Christophe Delcourt and the Calder Bronze and Ritter coffee tables. Instead, the classic-modern esprit of the Lawrence seating system, accompanied by the Song coffee table, is the protagonist of a more intimate living area.

The bright dining area, with its rational layout, hosts the Yoko dining little armchairs by Inoda+Sveje, while the adjacent kitchen presents an informal corner with the Oliver table and Russell lounge little armchairs, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni.

The home office area, an expression of the rationalist minimalism that pervades the designs of Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, is characterised by the Linha Studio writing desk, combined with the bold lines of the Daiki Studio armchairs and the aerial volumes of the Superquadra storage unit.

Minotti’s furnishing pieces also lend personality to the outdoor space, which weaves together creative styles from a wide variety of design backgrounds: from the quiet, intimate area of the portico, which hosts the Sunray armchairs by Rodolfo Dordoni, to the lounge area with the Quadrado modular seating system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, and the bucolic corner by the river that hosts the Bellagio Outdoor table by Gordon Guillaumier and the Yoko Cord Outdoor seats by Inoda+Sveje.

At one with the surrounding nature in which the interior design embraces the contemporary architecture of the residence, blending elements and materials with geometric lines and balanced colours.
