Tokie Coffee Table
As with much of Hannes Peer’s contribution to the 2024 Collection, the Tokie Coffee table is a stripped-back, essentialist affair. A simple, monolithic cylinder serves as the base and supports a slender disc which plays the table top’s role.
Shorn of ostentatious frippery, what remains is a table which embraces it’s compatriots in any space without threat of overpowering. The gentle curves of the recesses found in the Yves collection make ideal bedfellows, though they are far from the only partner options.
Working equally well beside armchairs and sofas, the Tokie Coffee table is an inherently versatile piece, at home anywhere.
Reflective, Reactive
A choice of three finishes highlight the Tokie Coffee Table’s simple decorative appeal. Whether in Polished Steel or the painted metal of Chestnut or Bronze, the table reflects light, enhancing its decorative appeal.
The slender disc of the coffee table’s surface, mirrored by the monolithic cylinder which supports it almost glows in ambient light. The muted mirror effect, distorted by the rounded surfaces, casts fascinating patterns across the surfaces.
Each of the three colours available for selection brings its own power, playing with light in its own way. Polished Steel, uber-reflective and hard, contrasts with the warmth and softness born from Chestnut. These limited choices allow the Tokie Coffee Table to interact with its surrounding atmosphere in a startling array of ways.
