Quadrado “Outdoor” Armchair
Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 design
Designed with the same rationalistic approach that pervades the architectures of the Brazilian designer, the Quadrado armchair sports minimal square shapes and a reclining backrest recalling the classic teak duckboard, the element that characterises the modular system, presented in 2018.
The teak structure, with metal details in Light Bronze finish, have straight armrests and accommodate the padded cushions of the backrest and seat.
The perfect relaxation companion, the armchair slips seamlessly into the various arrangements of the Quadrado modular system, and can also be used individually or together with other seats.
Metal backrest and armrests subjected to three processing phases: sand blasting, zinc primer for outdoor use (facilitates and improves adhesion of the finish paint) with polyester powder coat for outdoor use in polished Pewter color finish. The metal structure is covered in a wickereffect braided 5 mm Ø fibre; available in the following colors: Mud and Licorice
In solid teak (Tectona Grandis – First European Quality), 40 mm thick, natural finish, kiln-dried. Worked on CNC machines, assembled at 45° with finger joints reinforced with dowel pins. Underframe in metal painted for outdoor use. Woven elastic webbing for outdoor use in UVresistant synthetic rubber and polypropylene
Seat and backrest cushions in high resilience polyurethane foam and eco-friendly, waterproof fibre. To provide greater protection from water and moisture for the padding, all the cushions are covered in water-repellent polyester fabric. All the accessories – hinges, yarn – are waterproof and therefore suitable for outdoor use.
