LILLIAM ARMCHAIR
The Minotti Lilliam collection, designed by Hannes Peer, begins with a bold gesture: two inverted Y-shaped solid wooden elements run through the piece as a formal matrix, defining its architecture and rhythm.
From these an armrest emerges, upholstered in leather and finished with double stitching that underlines the craftsmanship. The result is a language of graphic purity, simplicity and function, with an elegant, timeless sense of form.
The armchair and the dining and lounge armchairs all share this architecture, interpreted in different proportions. Each version has a finely leather-upholstered shell, finished with double perimeter stitching that outlines its profile with a tailor’s care.
The slightly inclined seat is formed where two components meet at a 45-degree angle, combining refinement with comfort and supporting the body in controlled balance. At that junction, a refined finish marks the intersection, turning a construction detail into a subtle decorative feature.
The seat and backrest cushions sit seamlessly into the shell, strengthening the dialogue between the rigid outer structure and the soft inner core. The lounge version takes the same approach at a slightly lower height, emphasising its more relaxed character.
Throughout, each part is pared back to its essence without compromising quality, so the design settles easily into both contemporary and more classical settings while keeping a clear, bold presence.
