Minotti Boteco

The signature style and architectural language of Studio mk27 are clearly visible in the design of the Minotti Boteco. It plays with volumes by layering, removing, and adding.

With its strong identity, the Boteco family of sideboards and coffee tables fully expresses the approach taken by Kogan, who considers the planning phase of architecture, interiors, and design as “part of a single process in which scale is the only difference, and where the borders separating each territory are blurred”.

Closed spaces and open compartments define the look of the Boteco sideboards, in a carefully planned juxtaposition of materials and finishes.

The living and dining sideboards, with one single open compartment or with closable doors, have a structure in oak with Tobacco colour stain finish or palisander Santos in matt polyester lacquer finish, and a top that accommodates a tray insert with the bottom in Sahara Noir marble, the same used on the exterior of the open compartment.

The sideboards stand on aluminum, blade-like legs with a Golden Brown finish. In the dining version, the interiors, whose finish matches the exterior one, are accessorised with a cutlery drawer and, in the sideboard with four doors, a glass shelf.

Coffee Tables

The Boteco coffee tables reveal the Brazilian architect’s architectural approach and are characterised by their lower height and the impressive 8cm thickness of the top, which hosts a built-in tray.

They come both in Eucalyptus wood in matt lacquer finish and palisander Santos in matt polyester lacquer finish, both combined with the Sahara Noir marble, matt polyester finish, covering the built-in tray. Alternatively, a top in Grigio Orobico marble features a lowered metal tray with a Golden Brown finish, like the legs. The edge of the tray protrudes from the top by 15 mm.

The clever juxtaposition of different materials and their combination, creating an elegantly harmonious look, are the result of the research done by the Brazilian design studio, supported by Minotti’s know-how to manage joint projects.
